Pediatric Dentistry and Traumatology
What is Pediatric Dentistry?
In our dental clinic, we treat children, finding the anomalies in the position of the jaws or teeth to make an orthodontic treatment if needed.
The main idea of Pediatric Dentistry is to educate children: to explain the importance of using a toothbrush, mouthwash on their temporary or baby teeth, and to prevent oral health problems such as tooth decay.
Dental care is basic to avoid the appearance of problems and therefore, prevention can help to counteract them. It is necessary to create hygiene and eating habits in children since they are young, to guarantee their dental health in the future.
And of course, it is very important that the children feel safe and comfortable when they come to visit us, and that is why we are very concerned that they may become phobic of the dentist.
Dental Traumatology
Oral and facial injuries are common in childhood, with an estimated one in two children suffering dental trauma in their lifetime.
When these traumas produce hemorrhaging, loss of consciousness, or both, it is often the pediatrician who examines the child for the first time. Although the symptoms and signs are often complex, the precise treatment depends on the correct diagnosis, which is why it is very important to make an appointment at our dental institute, in order to make a more professional diagnosis.
